Full membership is for those involved in pharmacology and its related discplines, such as:
- Academic researchers who will typically:
- Be at least five years post award of a PhD pharmacology or a related discipline
- Have published in peer reviewed journals
- Academic teachers who will typically:
- Be at least five years post award of a PhD pharmacology or a related discipline
- Be able to demonstrate their contribution to the education and training of other scientists or healthcare professionals
- Clinicians who will typically:
- Hold certification in clinical pharmacology and therapeutics; or
- Hold certification in another speciality with an interest in pharmacology; or
- Be in a recognised postgraduate training position (ST3 or above) in clinical pharmacology and therapeutics; or
- Be in a recognised postgraduate training position (ST3 or above) in a related speciality with an interest in pharmacology
- Industry scientists who will typically:
- Have at least an undergraduate degree in pharmacology or a related discipline
- Have published in peer reviewed journals
- Other professionals who can demonstrate significant involvement in pharmacology, such as:
- Pharmacists
- Medicinal Chemists
- Nurses contributing to clinical research
- Individuals involved in regulatory affairs
