Get involved

Understanding Animal Research provides opportunities for those who work with laboratory animals to help school students separate the myths from the facts and the science from the propaganda, when talking about animals in research.

Speaking to young people is a fun, exciting and rewarding experience. Outreach work can also develop your speaking skills and confidence, and ensure that your research has impact outside of the lab.

If you work in animal research and would like to volunteer to speak in schools please contact Understanding Animal Research.

Members can also get involved via the British Pharmacological Society’s Animal Welfare and In Vivo Pharmacology Sub-committee. Register your interest in joining this committee here.
