Full membership

Full membership is for those involved in pharmacology and its related discplines, such as:

  • Academic researchers who will typically:
  • Be at least five years post award of a PhD pharmacology or a related discipline
  • Have published in peer reviewed journals
 
  • Academic teachers who will typically:
  • Be at least five years post award of a PhD pharmacology or a related discipline
  • Be able to demonstrate their contribution to the education and training of other scientists or healthcare professionals
 
  • Clinicians who will typically:
  • Hold certification in clinical pharmacology and therapeutics; or
  • Hold certification in another speciality with an interest in pharmacology; or
  • Be in a recognised postgraduate training position (ST3 or above) in clinical pharmacology and therapeutics; or
  • Be in a recognised postgraduate training position (ST3 or above) in a related speciality with an interest in pharmacology
  • Industry scientists who will typically:
    • Have at least an undergraduate degree in pharmacology or a related discipline
    • Have published in peer reviewed journals
  • Other professionals who can demonstrate significant involvement in pharmacology, such as:
  • Pharmacists
  • Medicinal Chemists
  • Nurses contributing to clinical research
  • Individuals involved in regulatory affairs
